Techshot Lighting Completes Lighting Systems Installation for U.S. Army

Techshot Lighting LLC, a rugged and energy-efficient lighting systems manufacturer for temporary military shelters, has completed an order placed by the U.S. Army valued at about $235,000 for lighting system.

Most of the 750 units sold will be installed in tents housing military personnel at Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan.

The company, based in Floyds Knobs, Ind., produces a bright LED lighting system that has been designed to provide years of trouble-free continuous use in harsh environments, while using a fraction of the energy of older fluorescent technology.

In addition to the Army, the U.S. Marine Corps also has purchased sets of the lighting systems for use in Afghanistan and bases in the United States.
