Partnering with Cree, Arrow Electronics and Texas Instruments to Offer Videocast Series on Solid State Lighting

Arrow Electronics, Inc. of Melville, New York USA, and Texas Instruments (TI) announce a new series of Analog eLab videocasts on solid-state lighting (SSL). Partnering with Cree, Inc., Arrow and TI will present six new videocasts that share expertise on developing driver solutions for several LED applications.

Arrow Electronics notes that in addition to addressing specific applications, the LED "how-to" series will include insights on meeting customer needs; achieving efficient, cost-effective operations; minimizing inventory investment and risk; and decreasing time to market. Beginning on Feb. 10, a new videocast will be posted every 10 days and can be viewed at www.arrownac.com/TIeLabsCree.

Dan Gatza, director of lighting for Arrow Electronics noted that the ability to help customers develop total solutions and bring new products to market quickly is more critical than ever. That's why Arrow is working with industry leaders like TI and Cree to offer insight, training and solutions for LED lighting to help their customers achieve their goals.

Barry Papermaster, TI's worldwide marketing manager for power management, pointed out that LED lighting is an area that TI has been focused on for several years and they have a strong portfolio in LED signage and backlighting. By partnering with Cree and Arrow on this new Analog eLab series, they are able to better share that knowledge base with their customers and help them solve their LED design challenges.

Covering various subjects, Analog eLabs are virtual courses that take place in an online environment and are hosted by subject matter experts from Arrow and TI with complementary suppliers.
