Getting your hands dirty while growing plants might soon be something in the past. Aeroponics is an efficient and effective way to grow plants in an air or mist environment without soil and with very little water. It is portable and is suitable for people with limited growing space.
Seed Volage Tech, a US startup, has introduced an aeroponics plant growing system called Aerostylic on
Indiegogo. It is a patent-pending, fully automated system that controls watering, the timer and
LED lighting to optimize growing conditions.

Aerostylic has an automated sprayer that mists a nutrient solution mix. The liquid nutrient solution flows through the distribution hose mister dispersed to the root. Any leftover nutrient solution will be reused. The back is never closed to allow air to flow through for the plants to breathe. The LED lamp's neck is adjustable to raise and lower for desired height.
How it works:
The unit is filled with water and a nutrient solution mix in a water reservoir container and user can access it from the back of Aerostylic. A pump automatically mists the nutrient-rich solution onto the roots of the plants. The water falls down into the top reservoir where it is recirculated.
An LED light lamp is mounted atop the unit providing the necessary amount of lighting for the correct duration of time. The LED lamp's neck can be adjusted depending on the height of the plants.

User can control the system with a remote control that comes with it or with a fully integrated app on smartphone, laptop or desktop computer. The app includes features such as water level notifications and remotely set timer for this plant growing lighting device.
The outlook is also very bright for the LED horticultural lighting market. LEDinside forecasts that the scale of the LED horticultural lighting market worldwide will grow rapidly from about US$576 million in 2016 to around US$1.42 billion in 2020.
