Ennostar and Inova Semiconductors Transform Automotive Lighting with ISELED and ILaS Technology

Ennostar (TWSE: 3714) has deep expertise in the automotive sector, and today, Lextar, a subsidiary of Ennostar, and Inova Semiconductors jointly announce the signing of a license agreement in which Inova Semiconductors will provide its ISELED and ILaS technology to Lextar. This license agreement solidifies Lextar’s commitment to pushing technological boundaries and delivering state-of-the-art solutions for the next generation of automotive interactive lighting applications. The completion of this agreement marks a significant milestone, positioning Lextar’s product to meet the growing demands in the automotive lighting market.

In the past, automotive ambient lighting solutions lacked rich dynamic lighting effects, with complex system designs for controlling light sources that required additional software for RGB LEDs calibration. This resulted in slow response and uneven brightness and color among subsystems, posing challenges for synchronizing light sources and complicating user adjustments of ambient lighting. Leveraging Inova Semiconductors’ essential IP and cutting-edge technology, along with Ennostar Group’s resources, Lextar will unveil a new generation Smart LED in Q1 2026. This innovative solution is designed to revolutionize both interior and exterior applications. With the completion of this license agreement, Lextar is poised to bring this product to market, featuring remarkable key attributes that set it apart from anything else currently available.

By embedding driver ICs in each LED package, we can address the challenges of limited package selections for light sources and significantly enhance the dynamic range of LED performance, providing our customers with high-quality, cost-effective, and performance-optimized interactive lighting solutions. Robert Isele, CEO from Inova declared that customers in the automotive market want choices of products and multiple vendors to ensure resilient supply. Inova’s licensing policy is supporting this. Lextar being a strong player in the LED market is a perfect partner to enhance the availability of the ISELED technology. Lextar will be first to be able to build smart ISELED LEDs from the ground, including their own driver IC. The license agreement ensures full compliance with the ISELED IP allowing customers to use devices from Inova and Lextar ensuring conformity in the same application.
