OSRAM Opto Semiconductors "LED Light for you" network delivers LED lighting solutions

Partner Network Continues to Expand as Market Interest in LED Lighting Increases

LED Light for you (LLFY) is an internet-based partnering network established to bring together the combined skills of more than 60 certified partners from around the world. The network offers luminaire manufacturers, lighting planners and other LED users concentrated technical know-how and support in designing, planning and implementing LED lighting systems for the Solid State Lighting (SSL) market. The LLFY network, which was initiated in 2006 by OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, has experienced tremendous growth as demand for LED lighting increases in this burgeoning market segment. Several new products have been brought to market through the cooperation and expertise of the partner network.

Customers seeking a specific LED lighting solution can access the network and benefit from expert support in areas essential to LED lighting solutions - optics, thermal management and electronics. The LLFY network provides an opportunity to establish contact with experienced partners who can support projects by providing expertise, technical support and guidance in building products that meet the needs for this new growth market.

Certified Partners, Global Reach

All partners are certified by OSRAM assuring that users of the network receive the highest level of quality, and service. As of 2008, there are more than 60 partner companies worldwide, including six new partners in the NAFTA Region; Emerson and Cuming, Maya, Optek Technology, Khatod Optoelectronic, ST Microelectronics and Roal Electronics. The dynamic range of partners represents various innovative technologies and services that support the adoption and integration of LEDs into new and innovative light sources.

Turning Ideas into Solutions

LED Light for you helps turn LED lighting ideas into LED lighting solutions. A good example of how the network operates was demonstrated during the recent launch of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors Diamond DRAGON® LED, an innovative high-power device for SSL. The product launch involved several of the LLFY partners who offered complementary products such as matching electronic drivers and lenses tailored specifically to the Diamond DRAGON.

"LLFY's recent partner growth highlights the acceptance and excitement about LED technology," said Steffen Block, Project Manager for LLFY at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors. "Collaboration between network partners is at the core of LLFY's mission. Just as a stand-alone LED does not produce light, partners work together to provide the appropriate system components to create solutions to launch specific LED applications."
