The project, known as LightRails installation was created by artist Bill FizGibbons to bring light to an otherwise dark and unapproachable space.

The tunne is lit up with a network of LEDs which are hooked up to a computerized system so the artist can program varying color. (Photography: Bill FizGibbons)

FizGibbons attached a network of cumputerized ambient LED lights along the tunnel and form various lighting patterns, turning once unfriendly space into a passage of light that pedestrians could walk through.

A once unfriendly space has now been completely revamped for pedestrians to enjoy. (Photography: Bill FizGibbons)
