The Significance of Forum

In October, 2009, Six National ministries and commissions of China, including National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Construction and State Quality Inspection Administration, together issued the document (No.2441 [2009]) revised by National Development and Reform Commission of “《General Assessment of SSL Energy-Saving Industry》”, which made specific deployments for the faster and healthier development of SSL Energy-Saving Industry. It also aims to develop new economic growth point, expand the consumer demand, lower energy consumption and reduce pollutants discharge.

With the energetically promotion of green, environmental protection and Energy-Saving in most industries, the demand for the lighting products with less energy-cost, higher efficient and more intelligent properties is growing faster and faster. Furthermore, the fast development of lighting industry has provided technical and products support for the new-construction and re-construction of lighting facilities for functional buildings, including Roads, industrial and mining enterprises, commercial buildings and living buildings, etc. On the occasion of this opportunity, SSL Ad Hoc Committee of China Association of Lighting Appliance (CALI) and Shanghai CMP Sinoexpo International Exhibition Co.,Ltd.(SINEXPO) (the only sponsor of the exhibition for real estate developers, architects and top competitive architectural ornament products) made a win-win co-operation, aiming at communicating with each other and seeking common developments in the tour hotel and LED industries.

The Topic of Forum

In recent years, China initiated a series of lighting projects including Green Lighting Project, SSL Project and Innovative Materials Subproject of 863 Program, etc. In all of the projects mentioned above, both of the R&D and industrialization of SSL technology are specially supported, and until now, China has become a leading role in the field of Integrated Applications of downstream SSL products. The total industrial output value of SSL industry in 2008 was nearly 70 billion Yuan, in which the output value of applicative products was 45 billion Yuan. With the acceleration of Industry Structure Adjustment and the transformation of the mode of economic development, as the new economic growth point in the near future, the SSL energy-saving industry is facing a new and good development opportunity. 

This Forum mainly focuses on discussing the present developing status and refined industrial hot issues of LED Functional Lighting. It also aims at figuring out the developing tendency of indoor lighting and the LED technology application prospects in the industries of Road, industrial and mining enterprises, commercial buildings and hotels, proposing blue prints for establishing comfortable, esthetic, safe and environment-friendly systems, finding out feasible developing mode for construction companies, Decoration firms, Design and Research Institutes, Project managers, Hotel Managers and CEOs of LED Lighting enterprises.

Highlights of Forum

The 1st Technology and Application Forum of China Solid-State Lightings (SSL) SSL was held by SSL Committee(CALI SSL) in 2008, and this Forum caused strong repercussions in LED Industry, as a consequence, more and more people and relevant units participated in this Forum, as well as more and more topics were proposed and discussed.

• The 3rd Forum will not only focus on the discussions of Functional Lighting, but also concern the industry of Applicative LED Lighting of Hotel for the first time.
