[Exclusive Interview] LLVision Breaks Through the AR Market with a Specialization Strategy, Redefining Translation Glasses

TrendForce forecasts that global AR glasses shipments will surge to 950,000 units in 2026, representing a 53% YoY growth. On top of that, as initial interest in these new products fades, consumers are expected to increasingly scrutinize the practical value and AI-enabled experience of these devices. With deeper integration of AI technology with wearable devices, alongside ongoing deployments by leading tech players, brands are required to define specific scenarios, improve user experience feedback loops, and advance AI ecosystem development. These efforts are essential to meeting rising market expectations for AR glasses and ushering the industry into a new phase of growth.

TrendForce recently had an opportunity to hold an in-depth conversation with Fang Xu, Hardware Product Director at LLVision, to learn about the company’s latest AR glasses offerings and technological developments.

LLVision’s Hardware Product Director Fang Xu

Founded in 2014, LLVision is an AR developer dedicated to delivering highly accessible AR hardware, software, and digital solutions to its customers. The company boasts full-spectrum capabilities spanning from research and development to market deployment. LLVision’s consumer-ready AR translation glasses are tailored to overcome language barriers with cutting-edge technologies. Recognized for their outstanding live translation and interactive user experience, this product has been honored with the UNESCO Netexplo Innovation Award and the 2025 AIS Impact Award.

Leion Hey2 Resolves the “Impossible Triangle” in the AR Glasses Market

LLVision’s AR translation glasses Leion Hey 2

In June 2025, LLVision officially launched its consumer-ready AR translation glasses, Leion Hey 2. This product addresses the “impossible triangle” of balancing lightweight design, high performance, and long battery life in the AR glasses market. At only 49g, it supports live translation in more than 100 languages, with latency under 500 milliseconds and up to 8 hours of single-charge runtime, extendable to 96 hours when paired with a charging case.

According to LLVision, this device employs a mature and highly efficient display solution designed to ensure superior user experiences, reflecting the company’s product philosophy of “Proven Technology, Unmatched Experience.” Leion Hey 2 features a compact optical engine roughly the size of a red bean, weighing only 0.3g, while achieving ultra-high near-eye brightness. This allows AR overlays to remain clearly visible in nearly all everyday lighting conditions, effectively putting an end to the long-standing issue of “insufficient brightness” in AR glasses.

For its waveguide technology, Leion Hey 2 adopts a single-engine binocular solution, effectively reducing production costs and retail price points to reach a wider consumer base.

A Reliable Solution for Exceptional Translation Services in High-Profile International Conferences

At the core of LLVision’s AR translation glasses is its capabilities to deliver “seamless” live translation services on par with professional simultaneous interpreting. This device comes with 360-degree spatial voice recognition and neural network-powered noise cancellation algorithms, allowing accurate speech recognition even in noisy environments. In face-to-face communication, it achieves directional voice pickup through a 4-microphone array to prioritize the voice of the speaker in front of the user. Speech translations are then displayed as AR overlays on the glasses, enabling users to engage in natural and seamless one-on-one interactions without the need to look down at their phone. This “built for face-to-face” design has been recognized internationally for its specialization in professional translation services.

Notably, the Leion Hey 2 not only supports translation of multiple non-UN official languages but also covers diverse applications including conference talks, overseas study, international travel, and transnational family communication.

With its excellent translation capabilities, the Leion Hey 2 has been implemented in high-profile international events, such as the 2025 Global Diplomats’ Chinese Cultural Night, Beijing Cultural Forum, the IASP World Conference on Science Parks & Areas of Innovation, and the China International Import Expo. It demonstrated real-time translation in over 100 languages and seamless audiovisual communication support for global attendees.

Outlook
AR glasses are poised to become a key knob for next-generation computing platforms, and LLVision maintains unwavering confidence in its business prospects. As the AR glasses market diverges into two pathways, “specialization” and “diversification,” the company has adopted a clear specialization approach. By combining its consumer-focused business with industry trends and its in-house technology roadmap, LLVision dedicates its efforts to live translation and captioning for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.

Moving forward, LLVision will continue refining its expertise in core technologies, including AR optics, multimodal interactions, and noise cancellation algorithms. It aims to break communication barriers and build global connections through AR innovations, making advanced technology a lasting enabler of barrier-free communication and cross-cultural exchange.
