LG Electronics has recently launched its new LH90 series HDTVs to the U.S. market. The new series are the first LCDs to receive THX Display Certification in the U.S. market, the company claimed.
The new series features full-array LED backlighting with 2,000,000:1 Mega Contrast. It employs local dimming technology for precise automatic picture control, resulting in deeper blacks and wider color gamut, according to the company.
The LH90 meets the latest Energy Star 3.0 specifications, and is equipped with a range of features to reduce energy output including LG’s Intelligent Sensor, which automatically senses the ambient light in the room and adjusts color and brightness accordingly.
The new LH90 series TVs are available now in the U.S market through national retailers and are coming in 55-, 47-, and 42-inch class sizes, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $3,199.95, $2,399.95, and $1,899.95 respectively.
