LG recently launched the HS200, a stylish and lightweight portable projector, tipping the scales at only 800g. The projector’s small size (measuring 122mm x 183mm x 60mm (WxLxD)) lends itself to being fully portable for use in both the home and the office. With the inclusion of LED technology, it is ideal for displaying a presentation or recreating a high quality cinema or gaming experience.
Images displayed by the HS200 appear crisp and clear as a result of incorporating LED technology with its Twin XD Engine and 2,000:1 contrast ratio. Using an LED bulb, it is more environmentally friendly than a projector with a CCFL bulb, as it doesn’t contain mercury. Similarly, it enables the HS200 to have a lower power consumption compared to a standard projector, making it more cost effective. An LED bulb also has the added advantage of lasting the lifetime of the projector, eliminating the need to buy expensive replacements.
The HS200’s screen can reach up to 120 inches enabling users to recreate a comfortable cinematic experience or play games on the ‘big screen’ with ease. Similarly, presentations are displayed in high quality, whether it’s an important business meeting in a large conference room or a classroom setting. Furthermore, sound produced by in-built Dolby speakers can be adjusted to suit the viewer’s location, making it suitable even for use outdoors.
LG has not substituted design for high specifications with the HS200. Its curvaceous form and colouring gives the projector a fresh appearance compared to other models.
The HS200 will be available for purchase from all major retailers from early October.
