Modular Components Provide Flexibility for New and Replacement Installations

enLux™ Lighting Inc., announced that a low-power, high-illumination LED down light is now available with a variety of tapered cone trim sizes and colors in a modular design permitting a vast array of choices.  The new product, called the DL-1 TC Series, which is also dimmable, is now available from authorized enLux distributors.  The LED lamp uses just 14 watts to provide 750 lumens.

"Because we designed the DL-1 TC Series components to be modular,"  stated Bonnie Quick, director of sales for enLux Lighting, "our distributors can stock fewer of the LED core modules, a higher cost item, and stock a greater variety of the cone trim, a lower cost item.  This modular system enables a cost-effective, flexible inventory for just-in-time delivery (JIT).  The DL-1 TC can be designed for a customized look, quickly shipped and then easily assembled onsite and installed.  This reduces various costs at distribution and installation."

Not only for aesthetics, this patented cone trim is a key component for heat dissipation, which is an essential requirement for the lumen maintenance of an LED luminaire.  Cone trim sizes are five, six and eight inch diameters for fitting into a corresponding recess can or a ceiling opening.   Standard trim colors are white, anodized, antique copper, chrome, and anodized with white trim.  Custom colors and other surface finishes such as a haze treatment are available. 

Using enLux's patented RYgB light emission technology, the company’s low-energy, high-illumination DL-1 TC Down Light provides superior color light in warm 2700°K, neutral 3500°K or cool 4500°K or any custom CCT.  Light colors include red, amber, green and blue with custom colors within CIE 1931 chromaticity.

According to the company, the DL-1 Series LED down light can save more than 85 percent in energy use compared to incandescent lighting.  It exceeds industry lighting performance standards while requiring very low power, and has a 50,000 hour life.  The DL-1 Series has received two UL listings - UL1993 for the down light with E26 or GU24 connection, and UL1598 for the down light with junction box, hard wire connection.
