Philips has launched its 42-inch Econova LED TV, which has acquired the European Green EV 2010-2011 Award given by the European Imaging & Sound Association.

The new TV features 40W of power consumption in eco-mode and offers some other eco-friendly credentials such as a solar-powered remote control, e-manual and the use of recycled aluminum panel.
