Carmanah Technologies Corp has supplies its EverGEN(TM) 1530 solar LED lighting systems as part of a pilot project to help a major electric company in the United States for illuminating a power generating facility parking lot.
According to Ted Lattimore, Carmanah CEO, it’s the third power generating station in the US to install Carmanah EverGEN solar LED lighting technology.
The new solar lights aim at helping underscore the power company's commitment to renewable energies and sustainable business practices while presenting an economical alternative to traditional grid-powered lighting systems for situations where grid power may be difficult or costly to access.
The stand-alone EverGEN(TM) 1530 solar LED light is designed specifically for industrial-scale applications such as parking lot lighting. Featuring the LEDway(TM) LED lighting fixture by BetaLED(TM), the EverGEN(TM) 1530 solar-powered light delivers high performance and uniform distribution, and operates in accordance with Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) guidelines.
In an effort to preserve the region's nighttime sky for residents and visitors, a "dark-sky" friendly full-cutoff fixture design ensures each EverGEN(TM) 1530 delivers light on the ground while reducing or eliminating 'sky glow'.
The solar LED lighting systems were pre-configured specifically for the nuclear power station's geographical location and prevailing weather patterns. This configuration guarantees continuous operation and bright light output.
