In 2011, Radiant would be benefit from Japanese vendors’ orders

In 2011, Taiwan based back light unit (BLU) makers Radiant Opto-Electronics was benefit from the Japanese vendors’ orders, its revenues have risen steadily since 2Q10, with a widespread demand drop off in the large-size panel sector.

In March of 2010, Radiant started cooperated Samsung with notebooks, which had received orders from Samsung’s notebooks and CCFL TV LCMs. Meanwhile, the company was supplying LED TV LCMs and LED TV BLUs for Sharp and Sony, respectively, and the volume was expected to increase in 2011.

Also, US vendors handed out notebook products orders to Radiant. The shipment for the part would increase to 6 million units in November versus 4.66 million units in September and 5.97 million units in October.

In 3Q10, Radiant reported net profits of NT$668 million (US$21.72 million) with an EPS of NT$1.57, and consolidated revenues were NT$12.36 billion with gross profits of NT$1.1 billion, NT$704 million in operating income. Consolidated revenues from 1Q10 to 3Q10 totaled NT$34.62 billion, operating income was NT$2 billion, and net profit came to NT$1.75 billion with an EPS of NT$4.11.
