Cypress’s LED power controller combine with MSi LED Light Bulbs to Support Macy’s Stores for Energy Savings

Cypress Semiconductor’s LED power controller combine with MSi LED Light Bulbs are supporting Macy’s Stores across the country for major energy savings.

Reportedly, Macy’ installed new LED lamps that use about 73 percent less energy to replace 117,000 traditional incandescent light bulbs in 86 stores. It estimates about 16,200 megawatts per hour every year in total energy savings.

According to Brian Moody, director of Marketing for Cypress’s PowerPSoC business, “It’s exciting to see our technology deliver significant benefits in a major project such as Macy’s retrofit. As more companies see the tangible benefits of LED lighting, we can see a ‘snowball effect’ leading to significant growth in which we are well positioned to participate.”
