Powin Set up Renewable Energy Subsidiary

Powin Corp. has set up a wholly-owned renewable energy subsidiary to supply a line of renewable energy products such as LED lighting fixtures, wind turbines, solar panels and lithium batteries.

Powin Renewable Energy Resources Inc., which has a team of two Powin engineers behind it, grew out of the company's work in the industry.

According to a press release from Joseph Lu, the founder and CEO of Powin Corporation, "We feel the time is right to launch our renewable energy program taking advantage of our strong relationships, research, development and engineering teams we have developed in the U.S., China and Taiwan over the past 20 years."

It’s said that Powin started trading its stock publicly earlier this year under the symbol PWON, and coordinated the manufacturing and distribution of products through its relationships with six Chinese plants and one in Taiwan.

With the subsidiary launch, Powin will expect to leverage its model in a growing market sector.
