Jiangsu Canyang Optoelectronics Co., a corporate reinvestment by Formosa Epitaxy Incorporation, held its grand opening on 18th of December, 2010. The opening ceremony was exceptionally impressive with thousands of participants including LED related professionals, government officials and local residents. Honored guests include Wang Yan-Wen, Chief Secretary of Yangzhou municipal committee, Xie Zheng-Yi, Yangzhou Mayor, and Quan Ying-Shou, President of LGD.

   

   

Local governments in China are competing against each other to attract LED enterprises and Yangzou first set out to provide financial subsidy of 10 million RMB per set of MOCVD equipment. As a result, the financial subsidy policy successfully attracted Formosa Epitaxy Incorporation set up manufacturing facility in Yangzhou. 

  

Jiangsu Canyang Optoelectronics Co. currently has 90 million in paid-in capital. Its core business covers the production of epi wafers and chips. The company’s capacity is expected to reach 50 sets of MOCVD equipment by the end of 2011; indicating that expected epi wafer capacity will reach 1.44 million annually, that of epi chips will reach 18000 million.
