U.S. Army Awards Cyberlux a Contract for 24 WhiteEye Systems

Cyberlux Lighting Systems Fulfill Request for Quote and will be Deployed to Forward Operating Base Hammer as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom

Cyberlux Corporation, a leading provider of LED lighting solutions, announced today that the United States Army has purchased twenty-four WhiteEye Tactical Lighting Tower Systems for use in the Iraqi theater of operation. The WhiteEye systems procured are meant to increase the lighting capability of the 142nd AHB’s aviation air support operations, which has been using two BrightEye systems originally purchased and deployed in mid-2008.

“We are pleased that the Army has chosen our WhiteEye System to equip our troops in Iraq. The commercial grade WhiteEye is the ideal lighting solution for the specific requirements of this military operation and compliments our previously deployed flagship BrightEye series overseas”

In keeping with all of the Cyberlux portable illumination solutions, the Cyberlux WhiteEye Tactical Lighting Tower System delivers the most energy efficient white LED lighting for portable broad area illumination that is commercially available. Engineered to provide ideal lighting for tactical and emergency response situations, Cyberlux has designed the WhiteEye configuration to flexibly illuminate any location or environment requiring rapid setup, light-weight portability and extended battery operation when electrical power is unavailable.

“We are pleased that the Army has chosen our WhiteEye System to equip our troops in Iraq. The commercial grade WhiteEye is the ideal lighting solution for the specific requirements of this military operation and compliments our previously deployed flagship BrightEye series overseas,” says Mark Schmidt, CEO of Cyberlux Corporation. “Our tactical lighting systems continue to be well received and in demand within the public and private marketplace. As new requirements are brought to the attention of our organization, we will either offer one of our of existing solutions, or utilize our intellectual property portfolio to innovate and develop a product according to the needs of our ever growing client base,” added Schmidt.

Previously, the Cyberlux BrightEye System received the United States Army’s 3rd Battalion, 142nd Assault Helicopter Battalion (AHB), operational endorsement for maintenance and field operation lighting. Additionally, it was deemed to be the preferred choice of lighting by mechanics operating on the flight line to complete sophisticated helicopter maintenance tasks such as night main rotor ground track and balances, night tail rotor balances, night engine high speed shaft balances and other general maintenance tasks that require superior visibility for a safe, well lit work area.

The Cyberlux Tactical Illumination Systems are designed as highly portable, visible and night-vision compatible illumination systems for mission-critical tactical lighting where rapid deployment and high-intensity lighting capability are required. Using advanced optics, advanced solid-state lighting technology, and light-weight advanced battery power, all contained in easily transportable wheeled cases, the Cyberlux Tactical Lighting Systems provide broad area visible white lighting and night-vision compatible IR lighting capable of operating all night, performance capabilities not available in traditional lighting systems.
