See the light of the future at TILS. This event, otherwise known as The International Lighting Show is Taiwan’s first ever dedicated exhibition for lighting, an event that reflects Taiwan’s global lead in LED production (NT$7.4Bn in exports 2001) and future trends. From March 12 to 15 every facet of the trade will be reflected in such theme areas as household lighting, commercial lighting, industrial lighting, LED lighting, green lighting, and lighting components and parts.

Buying Fever at 466 Procurement Meetings!
To assist companies to penetrate the world market, TAITRA has worked through its global network of 56 overseas offices to flying in 466 international buyers. More than 60 of these buyers will be opening foreign trade channels at the procurement meetings. These include South Africa’s largest lighting company Radiant Group, renowned Italian architecture firm Gemmo Spa, Polish international wholesale chain Bac-Pol S.A., German lighting leader Trilux, and the preeminent Japanese garden and landscape design company Takasho.

Bright ideas at the Lighting a New Way Forum
Hundreds of participants will be joining the Lighting a New Way Forum on March 12 that features senior executives from Philips, the Canadian company Future Electronics; US company GE, and Austrian company Tridonic.Atco. Some of the best minds in the industry will addresses the use of LEDs in general lighting, GE’s LED solutions, increasing LED popularity and LED lighting engines.
Genius rewarded
The first day kicks off with a series of exciting events including the Lighting Elite Awards Ceremony. That event recognizes and awards companies for outstanding R&D contributions which have contributed to advancing the industry. The products of the finalists will also be showcased at the Lighting Elite Area (Booth A1036). Two Industrial Trends Seminars on the first day will bring to the podium the award winners to expand on their innovations and ideals and to address themes such as “Architecture and landscape lighting and design,” “Opportunities in the LED lighting market,” “New insights in CCFL lighting technology,” and “Challenges and opportunities in AC LED lighting.” These meetings are also aimed at providing channels for exchanges between Taiwan’s research institutions and industry. This event brims with prospects as Taiwan hold global top place in the production of LED and is rapidly becoming the R&D and design hub for a new era of clean lighting.
