ilumisys grants patent license to Seesmart for LED fluorescent tube replacements

ilumisys, Inc., developer and producer of next-generation solid-state lighting technology, announced today that it has partnered with Seesmart LED, a commercial LED lighting leader based in Simi Valley, Calif., and that the cooperative agreement includes a license for ilumisys’ patents on light-emitting diode (LED) fluorescent tube replacements.

“Partnering with ilumisys gives us added ability to offer the very best of LED lighting technology to our customers,” said Raymond Sjolseth, president of Seesmart LED. “Our mutual commitment to quality and ability to accommodate existing infrastructure will enable Seesmart LED and ilumisys to be at the center of the dynamic and rapidly growing LED industry.”

The licensing agreement provides for royalty payments in exchange for rights to manufacture and sell products covered by Altair’s patent portfolio.
