Sharp Corp designed new LED light bulbs as chandeliers with enhanced brightness of 96lm/W and lower weights as part of its "ELM" series to expand its LED business.
Six types of LED light bulbs are available: two E17 base light bulbs, two light bulbs for chandeliers and two E26 base light bulbs.
The E17 base light bulbs come in two colors: daylight color and warm white color. The daylight color product has a total luminous flux of 500lm. Light bulbs with power consumptions of 60W and lower account for 90% of the demand for E17 base light bulbs. Their luminance efficiency is 96lm/W. And the total luminous flux of the warm white color product is 400lm.The new E17 base light bulbs are equipped with Sharp's white LED packages.
The chandelier-type LED light bulbs have a shape like a candle so that they can be used for ornamental lighting equipment. Furthermore, the central part of the light diffusing lens shines like a candle light or a filament of an incandescent light bulb due to the concentration of light. The chandelier-type LED light bulbs emit a warm white light. And their covers come in two colors: transparent color and milky white. The total luminous flux is 230lm (with a wattage of 4.3W) for the transparent model and 240lm (with a wattage of 4.3W) for the milky white model.
As for the E26 base LED light bulbs, Sharp reduced their weight from 168g to 85g. By changing the manufacturing method for their heatsink from aluminum die-casting to aluminum press working, the company reduced the thickness of the heatsink from 6mm (at the thickest part) to 0.5mm.
The E26 base LED light bulbs come in two colors: daylight color and warm white color. The total luminous flux is 485lm (with a wattage of 7.5W) for the daylight color model and 380lm for the warm white model.
