Dow Chemical expands LED material production and will build a plant in S. Korea

The top U.S. chemicals manufacturer Dow Chemical Co. will invest US$45 million to build a plant producing key electronic materials - LED and display panel components in South Korea and the facility will be located in the city of Cheonan, 92 kilometers south of Seoul.

Dow Chemical has signed a memorandum of understanding with the governments of South Chungcheong Province and the city of Cheonan.

Dow notes that construction for the plant will begin in October and would be completed in 2015.
