RSI Visual Systems Utilize LED Illumination Projectors to Update B747-200 Full Flight Simulator

Recently, RSI Visual systems, Inc. has completed a visual system upgrade of the state-of-the art RSI Raster xT Image Generator integrated with the new Christie Matrix SIM LED illuminated simulation projection system for Sabre Updates, Inc. on the B747-200 Full Flight Simulator, located at the Kalitta Air Training Center in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

The RSI solution is the first to utilize LED Illumination projectors and receive qualification approval by the FAA for complete unrestricted training.

The projection system utilizes an LED illumination source that reduces maintenance labor and ownership costs. This type of projector technology eliminates the need for the costly lamp replacement commonly used on other projector types.
