Lately, unusually cold winter has affected the output of agriculture. Plant Grow Lights may be good for the growers to solve this problem ,and Everlight has actively to seize this opportunity with orders from Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science, an American herbal plant research organization and several European agricultural equipment suppliers.
Mainland China and the United States have issued warnings against unusually cold winter this year. Hebei Provincial Government of China has issued yellow alert for snowstorm while the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration forecast that El Nino Oscillation will bring the Northern hemisphere an unusually cold winter this year.
Unusually low temperatures globally will compound the food shortage issue since they represent fewer growing days. Everlight executives noted that plant grow lights are used as an auxiliary light source for plants, which makes up for shorter winter sunlight in high latitudes.
Everlight’s LED plant-grow light technology has grown mature following its entry into this segment this year. Blue and red LEDs are the most crucial light sources for photosynthesis of green plants.
It’s noted that Philips and Osram have also ventured into the emerging market. In the first quarter of 2011, Everlight and some 10 manufacturers including Philips reached an agreement to develop horticultural factory technologies, including plant-grow lights, plant nutrition liquid, and environmental humidity control.
