Lunera Lighting 6460 SERIES Wins 2011 PIA Award

Suspended Linear Fixture Optimally Illuminates Both the Ceiling and Work Surface for an Inspiring Indoor Lighting Experience

Lunera Lighting , a Silicon Valley company that designs, manufactures, and markets next-generation LED lighting, is pleased to announce the 6460 SERIES has been declared a winner in the Architectural Products , Product Innovation Awards (PIA). The distinctive ultra-thin 6460 SERIES delivers a full-spectrum of near daylight quality LED light and are a high design addition to commercial spaces.

“Like a grandiose Hollywood epic, there was an all-star cast involved in this production, notably the legion of generous judges who evaluated all the interesting submissions that came across our transom. We had nearly 300 submissions—and it was no easy task recognizing those who showed true innovation in their respective product categories,” said Jim Crockett Editorial Director, Architectural Products magazine.

The award-winning innovation of the 6460 SERIES was its light distribution. The luminaire distributes light 75 percent directly down
to the workspace and 25 percent indirectly upward to uniformly illuminate the ceiling. The direct/indirect light emission allows the luminaire to be suspended at a variety of  heights to provide energy efficient illumination for commercial applications including offices, conference rooms, classrooms, retail spaces, and data centers.

“We are pleased to accept the PIA award for the economic and sustainability advantages and design innovation of our new 6460 SERIES. This luminaire illustrates our dedication to creating a comprehensive lighting experience for a building’s occupants,” commented Lunera Vice President of  Sales and Marketing, Tom Quinn.

“The 6460 SERIES offers voluminous illumination for workplaces with up to nine-foot ceilings, inspiring new design possibilities for LED office lighting. Its edge-lit LED design provides a soft, down-light distribution with full spectrum, near daylight quality light,” Quinn added.

Eliminating the Upfront Cost of a 6460 SERIES Installation
The initial cost of installing the 6460 SERIES may be reduced through various rebate programs and can be eliminated for qualified customers through a simple five-year term capital equipment lease offered by Lunera Capital Plus (LCP), a private financing service of  Lunera Lighting.
