Toshiba’s LED Products Receive Energy StarR Label

Reportedly, twenty LED lamps from Toshiba International Corporation have received the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Energy StarR label.

The Toshiba lamps listed on the Energy Star certified product list include select models of the MR16, PAR 20, PAR 30, and PAR 38 product offering.Additional products are currently in the process of Energy Star testing and will be certified in the near future.

An Energy Star qualified LED lamp uses up to 75% less energy and lasts at least 15 times longer than incandescent lighting. As Toshiba abandoned production of incandescent lamps in March 2010, it became the first major lighting manufacturer to proactively discontinue the production of incandescent lamps and dedicate to develop LED technology.
