Dialight Secures US$400,000 LED Lighting Order from US Solar Thermal Plant

Dialight has secured an order to provide in excess of 1,000 LED lighting fixtures, with a total contract value of approximately US$400,000, for installation at a 250 megawatt (MW) solar thermal power plant in California, US.

The order consists of 1,050 LED Linear fixtures and 30 High Bay fixtures, for use across the power plant, which is made up of two independent 125 MW facilities. The order was placed following an extensive payback analysis and 100% of the plant’s lighting is now provided by Dialight LED fixtures.

Roy Burton, Dialight’s Group Chief Executive, said: “This order signals further penetration of the clean energy market and is a clear illustration of how our lighting fixtures can be used in the most diverse of environments. The durability of our lighting is clearly being recognised by major engineering firms as part of the specification process and LED lighting is well placed to adapt to different conditions.”
