LED Lighting Sales May Contributes 15% to Everlight’s Annual Revenue

Based on the bright perspective of LED market, Everlight will boost LED lighting sales to account for 15% of its annual revenue in 2012, up from 9% in 2011.

The company considers that thanks to the rising demands for lighting and backlight, the LED industry will increasingly rally quarter by quarter this year.

According to the company’s business general manager, B.Y. Liu, capacity utilization at the company’s factories has recovered to around 70%. The company has snatched over 50% of Taiwan’s market for 8W LED light bulbs since it rolled out the bulb in July, 2011. And it will consistently work to expand its market share in Taiwan and mainland China as well.

Currently, the company centers on its lighting market and LED backlights for TVs. In the lighting market, the company is promoting luminaire brands, including Everlight and Zenaro. Both of them have won safety standard certificates, including UL of the United States, CE of Europe, CNS of Taiwan, and CQC of mainland China. In addition, because of high brightness and inexpensive pricing of its products, the company has received orders of LED backlights for TVs from Japanese TV suppliers. As a result, it is confident of its annual revenue may benefit these inputs.
