TerraLUX’s Linear LED Engine Receives European ENEC Mark

TerraLUX Inc.’s Line Voltage Linear LED Engine has received the European ENEC Mark, which is the high quality European Mark for electrical products that demonstrates compliance with European standards (EN). The Line Voltage Linear LED Engine is tested according to EN 62031:2008 (Ta 55°C Tc 85°C).

Additionally, the Line Voltage Linear LED Engine has also received UL certification (UL recognized component (cURus) and UL Certified retrofit kit under UL1598C) making it a global replacement lighting solution for incandescent and CFL bulbs.

Unlike LED lighting solutions in the past, the Line Voltage Linear LED Engine requires no additional wiring, drivers, or extra hardware for installation. All need to install the unit is three wire nuts and the included retrofit kit screws to quickly convert a variety of fixtures.

The Line Voltage Linear LED Engine is designed with a Smart Thermal Design and patented LEDSense® Thermal Foldback circuitry allowing for installation in any sealed fixture.

The engine is suited for indoor and outdoor installations in wall sconces, recessed step lights and wall lights, ceiling surface mounted fixtures and outdoor wall packs.

The unique design of the engine transfers heat emitted from the LEDs to the metallic housing of the fixture with further protection from the LEDSense® circuitry. If the heat is too high, the LEDSense® will protect the LEDs by lowering the power until a safe temperature is reached, preserving the lifespan of the LEDs.

The Line Voltage Linear LED Engine is available in a 100-277V version with phase dimming compatibility for the European market.
