Elec-Tech to Launch 1.0mm Display Panel

A member of Elec-Tech’s security department revealed that fundamental research for 1.0mm display panel has been successful, according to the Chinese media. It is said to be launched during an appropriate time and that the company may not hold a new produce release conference. The price for the display panel is high and will mainly be used in the high-end display field.

Dongguan Securities analysts point out that China already has companies producing small sized TVs including Leyard, Unilumin, and Vtron. Small sized TVs are currently placed in the front of large display screens, making it hard to move towards the household electric industry. However, ever since the launch of the 1.2mm display by Leyard, small sized TVs have become a focal point.

An industry insider points out that before Leyard launched the 1.2mm TV, luminosity had already reached its limit. Though LCD TVs had limitations on their graphic cards, LED small sized TV have no way of being replacements for LCD TVs.
