NVC Lighting (NVC) received a visit from UK Birmingham Councilor Sir Albert Bore on November 15th to the company’s Lighting Experience Center in Chongqing where both sides entered into an in-depth discussion regarding investment and development of the NVC Birmingham factory. CEO Wu Changjiang of NVC spoke in detail about the company’s management concept and overseas expansion plans. Among the industries in China encountered during Bore’s trip to China, he expressed that NVC is the only company to receive investments from the city. Both sides hope to cooperate in investment and development of NVC UK.

The Birmingham city government will continue supporting the company’s development and expansion in UK and European market by providing more development opportunities and seeking more diversified partnerships and breakthroughs to achieve long term cooperation and win-win situation for both sides.  At the same time, the Birmingham Council will continue to support NVC development in the UK area and even other European markets.

NVC overseas expansion has been a trial and error learning experience from difficult times to rapid development. In the beginning of 2006, the company established an overseas marketing system focused on developing global sales system for NVC products covering markets in East Asia, Southeast Asia, South America, Russia, Australia, South Africa, and parts of Europe. NVC’s expansion into overseas markets has been a steady progress. NVC has established marketing infrastructures in 40 different countries and regions.

In regards to Chinese companies overseas development, . Wu remarked that Chinese companies need to strengthen their innovative prowess. Providing products with quality and service that are on par with international brands will gradually turn around global misconceptions that Chinese products are cheap and of low quality.  He also hopes local governments will offer Chinese companies a market platform with fair competition.
