Toshiba International Corporation announced that it is introducing the TLS-DCA6 and TLS-DCA8 LED downlights, which offer a variety of lumen outputs (2800lm, 5500lm and 8500lm), making LED lighting a viable lighting solution for high ceiling environments such as auditoriums shopping malls, atriums and concourses.
“By offering higher lumen outputs, Toshiba products appeal to a broader range of applications,” said Peter DallePezze, Vice President of Marketing and Product Development, Toshiba International Corporation LED Lighting Systems Division. “The range of lumen outputs and multiple color temperatures make our new LED downlights highly desirable for lighting designers working to create unique and inviting environments.”
The key benefits of Toshiba’s LED downlights over HID downlights are the product’s rated life, low lumen depreciation and high color consistency. Toshiba’s LED downlights last up to three times longer than typical HID downlights. The longer LED product life helps create a tremendous savings over HID in replacement lamp costs, particularly when considering both product and labor costs. Additionally, LED technology outperforms HID lighting when comparing lumen depreciation and color consistency over the life of the product.
In addition to the range of lumen outputs, the Toshiba TLS-DCA6 and TLS-DCA8 LED downlights also offer 2700K, 3000K and 4000K color temperatures, and have minimal ultraviolet or infrared wavelengths to resist fading artwork or damaging perishable merchandise.
