Cree Expands Its CXA Family with New 95 CRI Options and Two New LEDs

Cree expands its industry-leading CXA family with new 95 CRI (Color Rendering Index) options and two new LEDs, to provide LED lighting manufacturers with high performance, design versatility and low cost in one robust platform.

The new CXA CRI options deliver halogen-like color and improve the light performance by combining high quality light with high light output and efficacy. The two new LEDs in Cree’s CXA family respectively are the XLamp CXA1304 and CXA1816, which offer manufacturers the broadest opportunity to expand their LED lighting product portfolio.

The new XLamp CXA1304 LED Array is the most compact member of the CXA family, providing up to 1034 lumens in a 6mm optical source size, and enabling lighting manufacturers to rapidly produce small form lighting applications. The new XLamp CXA1816 LED Array can enable LED replacements for up to 70 watt ceramic metal halide in spot lighting or for 2000 lumen down lights with a 12mm optical source size.

“The family of CXA LED Arrays appeals to us because of the wide range of lumen options available, and all with very high efficacy,” said Michael Lin, CEO of Buckingham Industrial Group. “Whatever the lighting application we want to address, there is a CXA LED Array for it.”
