Philips Hue to Add Apple HomeKit Support

Philips recently announced on Facebook, its smart LED bulbs Philips Hue will be adding HomeKit support, and be compatible with existing lights, according to a 9 to 5 Mac report.

LEDinside has not been able to find the post on Facebook, but the video included in the original 9 to 5 Mac report can still be found online.

According to the article, Philips responded to a customer inquiry that is working on a solution to integrate Philips Hue with HomeKit:

“Yes, the solution we are working on will work with all your existing and new Hue lights. To get details about how your existing Philips Hue products will work with HomeKit, please follow us on Twitter or Facebook.”

The solution is expected to be released in September this year.
