[Webinar] LEDinside on Micro LED Next Gen Display Industry Trend at 10AM Feb 23rd

LEDinside, a division of the global market research company TrendForce, has recently published the report 1Q17 Micro LED Next Generation Display Industry Trend, in which trenchant insights and analyses regarding the emerging Micro LED industry will be illustrated in depth.

The report unveils the development of current Micro LED technology and several major challenges in the process of transferring micro LEDs, says LEDinside. The report digs into several aspects of the industry: 1) existing suppliers and their technology, 2) the emerging supply chain of Micro LED, and 3) the four key manufacturing technologies including the production of epi wafer for micron-size chips, the transferring of micro-LEDs to panel substrates, the bonding of the chips, and color conversion.

The Present and Future of Micro LED

Currently, not only do Chinese and Taiwanese manufacturers invest in the development of Micro LED, but companies in Japan, Europe, and the States also, at different levels, join the research and development.

LED display and advertising screen would be the two major markets Micro LED industry targets at the early stage, together with the introduction of Micro LED to small-size displays on wearable gadgets, bracelets, and watches, reveals LEDinside. 2017 and 2018 will be a key period the industry grips to launch their designs and to put them into production.

LEDinside projects the industry will move on to VR headset and large TV panel markets at the next stage after several years of technology upgrade. As for the introduction of Micro LED to smartphone displays, the industry is also anticipated to commercialize it years later when more mature technologies take hold.

With the growing anticipation toward Micro LED, automotive LED lighting and other applications are also likely to become potential markets to the industry. For detail information, be sure to register with LEDinside for free access to the report or to purchase a further incisive analysis
