Lextar Boosts Mini LED and Wearable Devices Applications in 2H18

The Taiwan-based supplier of wide range LED product, Lextar, released its revenue of the second quarter and reported the company’s plan to boost Mini LED backlight application for the second half of 2018.

Lextar’s revenue in June was NTD 909 million (US$ 29.74 million) which is down 15.8% MoM. The company’s revenue in Q2 was NTD 2.98 billion (US$ 98.22 million), up 12.6% QoQ and down 1.7% YoY.

According to Lextar, the company is preparing Mini LED sample products and plans for small amount shipment in 2H18. The applications include gaming notebooks, automotive panels, medical displays and drawing displays.

Besides, Lextar has also worked with one of the top brands of sports bracelet and processed the shipment steadily. As the monitoring market keeps growing, Lextar worked with one U.S. based brand of smart doorbell with its IR products shipping on monthly basis.
