Everlight Stands Its Ground in the Legal Disputes Against Seoul Semiconductor

Everlight reported that it will continue to guard the rights of the company and its customers in response to Seoul Semiconductor’s victory announcement about the patent infringement lawsuit in Germany.

In December, Seoul Semiconductor reported that it won the lawsuit in Germany which was filed in March 2017. Seoul Semiconductor accused Mouser Electronic of distributing Everlight’s LED products that infringed a patent of Seoul Semiconductor. The German Court judged in favor of Seoul Semiconductor and ordered to recall the accused products.

Everlight said that it has claimed patent invalidity against Seoul Semiconductor and noted that the case is not final yet. The litigations between Everlight and Seoul Semiconductor have been progressing in Germany, South Korea and the UK.
