Heliospectra Supplies LED Grow Lights for Greenhouses in UK and Australia

Sweden-based horticulture lighting solution provider Heliospectra announced new orders for its new LED lighting solutions from Bridge Farm Group in the UK and Nectar Farms in Australia. The two farms will install Heliospectra’s new MITRA LED lighting solutions in greenhouses for commercial food production.

Bridge Farm Group is the largest commercial producers and suppliers of plants in the UK. The company has been producing greenhouse grown flowers, potted outdoor plants, microgreens, herbs and ornamentals for more than 30 years. Bridge Farm Group was recently acquired by Sundial Growers, a Canadian cannabis producer.

"Supplemental LED lighting allows us to provide the freshest and most flavourful herbs on the market 365 days a year despite seasonal changes. This strengthens Bridge Farm Group's commitment to our retailers and consumers. Our focus on crop quality and plant health will continue as the highest priority with our business' new medicinal plant focus," said Andrew Fuller, Technical Director for Bridge Farm Group. "Our partnership with Heliospectra ensures unparalleled LED lighting and controls as well as a rich legacy of plant science and cultivation expertise."

On the other hand, Nectar Farms in Victoria, Australia, who focuses on reducing food miles and creating new industrialized agriculture jobs to local Australia and Asia export markets is scaling operation by adopting smart farming technology with greenhouses. The CEO of Nectar Farms, Stephen Sasse, said, “Our vision for Smart Farming integrates highest tech hydroponic systems, wind power and clean energy glasshouse installations, and Heliospectra’s advanced LED lighting solutions to strengthen our company’s commitment to resource-efficient food production. This also ensures Nectar Farms delivers high yield and highest-quality produce to our local retail markets and consumers.”

Heliospectra's lighting platforms transform the commercial food, horticulture and medicinal plant industries through superior design and quality. The new MITRA platform compliments the existing product portfolio of the ELIXIA and DYNA platforms with a high output, modular design and vegetative, flowering and broad-spectrum options.
