What to Expect on CES 2020? Micro LED Display and Smart Wearables with AR Still Featured

CES, the first highlight of the technology industry every year, will take place from January 7 to 10 in Las Vegas. At the coming CES 2020, what are the featured technologies and products that will amaze the industry? Following the on-going trends, LEDinside points out the products and innovations that we might find at the big event in the beginning of 2020.

Micro LED Displays and Applications
Micro LED technology has moved few steps towards commercialization after years of development. Samsung unveiled its stunning Micro LED displays at CES in the past two years and is believed to present another new Micro LED display at the show in 2020.

Apart from Samsung, Taiwan’s ITRI is will also present its Micro LED display featuring pixel and sensing components integration and autonomous brightness adjusting.

Plessey recently announced its technology breakthrough of creating native red InGaN LED. The company will be exhibiting at CES 2020 with Compound Photonics to present Micro LED solution for AR and MR applications.

Smart Wearables with AR
Smart wearables including smart watches and smart glasses have been a popular field for leading technology companies as well as startups.

Toyoda Gosei will demonstrate its e-Rubber, a next-generation rubber that moves with electricity. The company also aims to combine e-Rubber with other technologies, leveraging the knowledge in rubber, plastics and other fields it has cultivated through development and production of automotive parts and LEDs. The device would provide a more realistic experience by adding the sense of touch to images and sound in AR.
