Unique screen movement spanning 300mm〡The dashboard, central information screen and entertainment screen are integrated into one versatile sliding display

At the heart of Roewe’s RX5 "shared feelings smart cockpit" is the "27-inch 4K slidable display". This sets Roewe apart from other automotive manufacturers whose interior design usually includes 3 individual screens namely the dashboard, central information display and passenger entertainment display. Roewe RX5’s pioneering smart technology integrates all three displays into a 27-inch widescreen that can move 300mm left and right on a rail to allow shared interaction and communication between the driver and the co-driver.

The specifications of the in-vehicle display boast 4K resolution and 85% NTSC color gamut. It adopts Macroblock's mini-LED backlight driver IC to realize high local dimming zones, high contrast ratio of up to up to 100,000:1 and precision brightness adjustment. The image quality is clear, sophisticated and with brilliant gradients. Be it for the display of driving and navigation information or the use of entertainment applications, Roewe RX5’s 27-inch solid wide screen can offer the driver and passenger a panoramic immersive visual experience.

Macroblock's Advanced mini-LED backlight driver IC breaks the technology thresholds of in-vehicle displays

Numerous in-vehicle display reports highlight that in-vehicle displays will move towards larger sizes, higher resolution and finer picture quality. These market demands point to the technical demand for high dimming zone solutions. Macroblock's mini-LED backlight driver IC takes advantage of the time-multiplexing architecture to achieve high dimming zones while keeping the optical distance (OD) short so that the hardware design will be slim. In addition, the number of components used is reduced which helps streamlining the PCB layout and further improving overall reliability. Besides, Macroblock's unique S-PWM and Black Frame Insertion technology reduces flickering and motion blur problems rendering a sharp and clear display image and significantly improving the picture quality. In the face of upcoming industry growth opportunities brought about by high-end in-vehicle displays, Macroblock is confident that with the strength of its outstanding R&D team, we will work with customers to create designs.
