A fine pixel pitch LED display capable of showing more than 300 million pixels has been installed in a control room.
The 1.8mm Absen LED display is located at the Xingfa Group Control Centre Room in China.
The display, made with Absen NX1.8 LED modules, is nearly 1,200 sq metres in size, or roughly the area of three basketball courts.
Xingfa Group is one of China's top 500 companies and has become one of China's largest phosphate manufacturers over the course of the last 20 years.
The control room will improve production management efficiency and decision-making, by bringing digital technology into the heart of the chemicals industry.
At its heart is the screen that can intuitively, efficiently and comprehensively display data, icons, images and location information, offering "one screen to see the whole picture".
The Absen NX1.8 product used can present data in real time with high quality and achieve uninterrupted and stable operation.
At the same time, it comes with a dynamic energy-saving mode, to use electricity efficiently.
The product is available in a large module size and with a lightweight design.
The number of modules required for the same application area has been reduced by more than half, compared with conventional products, and the weight has been cut by more than 20%.
This makes installation easier, reduces structural load-bearing requirements, and makes delivery more efficient.
With a high requirement for precision over a large area, the Absen engineering team controlled the flatness of the screen to within 3mm.
