LEDVANCE Cuts 90 Jobs at Massachusetts Headquarters

Innovative lighting manufacturer LEDVANCE on November 2nd released an update saying the company laid off 90 employees at the headquarters in Wilmington, Massachusetts, reported tED magazine.

A mail notification from the head of Media Relations, Americas, LEDVANCE, explained that the company has let go of around 6% of its staff in the U.S. after a thorough examination of its internal structures in order to better implement business transformation.

The layoff of 90 jobs was mainly at LEDVANCE’s headquarters in Wilmington, Massachusetts.

LEDVANCE expressed its gratitude towards those impacted employees and their contribution to its customers and is supporting them through the layoff which the company said was a difficult decision but necessary to achieve future success.

Seeing the focus of lighting market is shifting from traditional to LED lighting, LEDVANCE said it would continue to strengthen its LED business with new and innovative products, at the same time also maintaining its presence in traditional lighting despite a shrinking market.
