Bulgarian airline Electra Airways, part of the Vector Group, has chosen Cobalt Spectrum LED drop-in mood lighting for the carrier’s A321 fleet.

Cobalt Spectrum mood lighting is an innovative drop-in system that has been designed to meet the needs of every commercial airline. The system is deployed and flying with multiple carriers worldwide. Called a “plug and play” system, it is a direct replacement for fluorescent tubes and designed to be lightweight and long-lasting. The lighting also offers operators substantial weight and fuel savings while requiring no changes to the aircraft wiring.

It will offer Electra the ability to illuminate the interior of each aircraft with its brand colours, and provide additional light settings for boarding, meal services, sleeping, waking, and more.

We are confident that our passengers and partners will appreciate the cosy and colorful lighting features, enhancing their onboard experience. Additionally, from an operational standpoint, the installation of this new lighting system will further reduce the overall weight of our A320 aircraft by an additional 50 kg.
