Climalux, based in Hoek van Holland, has developed a new full-LED grow light equipped with SMD LEDs attached to a single LED engine. Therefore, the new grow light has a higher light output and offers the grower an array of light spectrum options.
The CLX-2 grow light
"Challenged by the market, we have thoroughly investigated and confirmed all the advantages of our systems. With the further development of our light source, we kill two birds with one stone. The efficiency, also of our already known luminaire, is increasing and the new luminaire will have extra options," Niels Damen announced in the run-up to GreenTech Amsterdam this spring. A prototype of the new luminaire was on display at the fair.
The new CLX-2 grow light is now available and can be supplied in any light spectrum required, with a maximum efficiency of 4.1 µmol/J.
The CLX-2 grow light consists of a dimmable lighting unit and a vertical ventilation system that ensures uniform heat and moisture distribution throughout the greenhouse. The light intensity and fan speed can both be controlled independently.
Climalux is fully focused on the development and production of high-quality full-LED grow light systems for vegetable cultivation and ornamental horticulture. The complete system is supplied, including CLX-2 grow lights, a control unit, and a power supply unit. Local technicians will install the system, under the supervision of the Climalux team.
