Fusion Optix Expands Headquarters; Increases Product Development and Quality Control Space

In an effort to further support its growing client list, Fusion Optix has expanded into the adjoining space of its new facility in Woburn, MA.

The move gives Fusion Optix 60% more space for engineering, product development, and quality control.

The space will house a larger, more sophisticated integrating sphere for system testing, dedicated space for LED system design, and an expanded quality control area, among other things. The added space also allows Fusion Optix to bring more capabilities in-house, such as LED array assembly and optical film coating.

As solid-state lighting becomes more viable in the general illumination, display, and signage markets, Fusion Optix has been focusing on system designs that incorporate LEDs and highly efficient optical components, in addition to high efficiency lenses for fluorescent lighting. Because of this shift, the need for more dedicated engineering and product development space has become apparent.
