Flexible LED Kangaroo Light for Bags

UK design firm, STUDIO BANANA THiNGS, has collaborated with The Innovation Quarter at Bangor University (UK) has created a flexible LED light for bag interior, Kangaroo Light.

The flexible luminaire, which consists of 24 LED lights is made from flexible material. The Lithium-Ion battery can run 2.5 hours and is rechargeable via USB port.

An accelerometer incorporated in the luminaire enables different lighting settings including illumination modes of turn on, off, flicker, intensity, pulsing and others.

The light is supposedly to help make it easier for users to locate car keys and other items inside a bag, but can also be applied in other settings including reading and others.

The design firm is the same company that designed the Ostrich Pillow and Ostrich Pillow Light. With its previous success, the company estimates the new light can be shipped to supporters by October 2014. The Kangaroo Light Kickstarter campaign has raised £6,540 (US $10,981.31) out of its pledged goal of £50,000 as if May 16, 2014, and will end on June 8, 2014.
