Lighting and Backlight Demands Propel Everlight 2013 Revenue Performance

Taiwanese LED package manufacturer Everlight has recently released the company’s fiscal year 2014 results. The company benefitted from lighting and backlighting demands in 2013 which drove up revenue. 

Growth in lighting and backlighting demands as well as revenue from German based luminaire subsidiary, WOFI, drove up consolidated revenue by 29.67 percent to NT $24.7 billion (US $809.2 million). Profit margin grew by 1.74 percentage points YoY to 25.01 percent. Consolidated operating profit ratio reached 8.13 percent, YoY increase of 2.4 percentage points. Net profit was NT $1.47 billion, YoY growth of 1.69 times and EPS of NT $3.51.

During the company’s board meeting on the 24th, stock prices were announced at NT $3 with a payout ratio of 80 percent.
