Reportedly, Epistar has intended to inject US$75 million to set up an epitaxy wafer factory in Guangzhou of mainland China with Delta Electronics. The joint venture calls for total investment of US$210 million, with Epistar set to pay 70% and Delta to pay the remainder. The National Defence Academy of India to Replace 1 lakh Lights with LEDs

The National Defence Academy (NDA) of India has decided to replace about one lakh lights with LED lamps in key establishments of the academy for energy saving. At present, The NDA has nearly 3,100 street lamps, mostly sodium or mercury vapour lights ranging from 75 watts to 250 watts. And 30 street lights have been replaced by 28-watt LED lamps on an experimental basis.
