Delta gears up making LED products in Dongguan, China

Delta Electronics gears up making LED products in Dongguan plant, Guangdong province, China, aiming at shipping to Japan and for Guangdong province street lighting.

The firm has seven plants in Dongguan, mainly producing mature products as connectors, and accounts for 30% to 40% of Delta's total output in China.
 
According to C.C. Tseng, vice president of Delta China, one of the seven plants in Dongguan is producing LED products, with current capacity being 8,000 LED bulbs daily and more room for expansion. The plant also makes LED road lamps, with daily capacity reaching 400 sets to meet demand in Guangdong province.

In addition, it has raised production efficiency by 30% yearly by automation, improving manufacturing processes and facility management, and consolidating production flow management to meet China's official demand.

Apart from Dongguan, Delta has built manufacturing plants in Wujiang, Jiangsu province; Tianjin Municipality; Shanghai Municipality; Wuhu, Anhui province as well as Chenzhou, Hunan province.
