Nichia’s white LEDs Patent Infringement Lawsuits was Acknowledged by TRG

Recently, The Republic Group Handelsvertretung GmbH (“TRG”) has acknowledged Nichia’s claims in the early first hearing at the District Court Düsseldorf.

Previously, Nichia has filed patent infringement lawsuits in the above court. It claims that two different Harvatek white LED products (serial numbers HT-V116TW and HT-U158TW) sold by those distributors infringe Nichia YAG patent (EP936682[DE69702929]) and seeks an injunction, damages, recall and destruction.

On January 18, 2011, TRG acknowledged Nichia’s Claims, and stopped selling the above mentioned Harvatek products.
